Symposium, St Paul de Vence

Challenge

Suggest a venue in the South of France, not too extravagant, for 45 doctors coming from Belgium for a 3 day conference. The Client asked us to provide a tailor made team building activity to allow the participants to meet on a more casual basis.

Programme

The Conference Company proposed a privately owned hotel Le Mas de Pierre located in the village of St Paul de Vence - the intimacy of the location immediately charmed the client.
Welcome coffee was taken by the pool while luggage was delivered to rooms.
Arrangements in the daylight meeting room allowed excellent communication and exchange between speakers and audience.
We rented La Maison des Arts exclusively for the participants with a team of artists leading an afternoon programme of team building activities with pétanque, cooking class, sculpture and painting: relaxing, inventive, different.
A coffee break was organised with the cookies and pastries the team had made.
A wine tasting was later enjoyed in the village of Saint Paul de Vence.
The closing dinner was held in a fish restaurant overlooking the port of Cros de Cagne, to offer a simple and cosy atmosphere which allowed people to talk while enjoying a gastronomic menu.

Success

The well-travelled doctors exchanged important scientific information in a relaxed ambience: they were receptive to a programme offering something different to their usual experience. The client achieved his objective.
