First Procurement Meeting for AMCOR after acquisition of ALCAN

Challenge

Bring together employees from 2 companies in the packaging industry, coming from different cultures (Australian & French), originally competitors and who became after a merge part of the same entity.

Programme

A five nights stay conference in Paris at the Hotel Lutetia with intensive meetings in plenary room and break out rooms and very little time at leisure.
Set up in the meeting room was organised in cabaret style: more friendly than classroom style.
Lunches were always presented as standing buffets enabling the delegates to meet and interact.
Breaks were taken in a cosy atmosphere always with fresh fruits and French pastries.
Evening programmes were tailor made starting the first evening with a cooking class at the Ateliers Guy Martin. The fun and instructive sides of the programme really worked as the ideal ice breaker. The result was amazing: each one of the delegate was able to realise a “verrine” that looked and tasted so well!

During the second evening, guests socialised during a beautiful dinner cruise on the Yacht de Paris. This was the perfect way for all people who had never been to Paris to discover the city illuminated at night.
The closing dinner at the Hotel started at the Bar with champagne and finished at the Bar again with a live band.

Success

A good balance between intense, stressful working sessions and relaxing and fun evenings.
The people learned to know each other in a casual atmosphere and left Paris very motivated to work together towards a common success.
